About

Leigh Weissman, CSP/ASP/CHST

Founder, Construction Safety Insights, LLC

Two Decades on the Job Site

Leigh Weissman has spent more than twenty years directing safety on some of the most demanding construction sites in the Northeast — from steel erection and high-rise superstructure work in New York City to heavy civil and bridge rehabilitation projects across the Philadelphia region.

His work has spanned nuclear-adjacent civil construction, major DRPA bridge projects, and NYC Department of Buildings–licensed Site Safety Manager assignments (license currently inactive) on $100M-plus high-rise developments. Along the way, he's built and led safety teams, lowered incident rates for multiple firms, and managed OSHA recordkeeping and claims in coordination with legal departments.

He most recently served as Safety Director for Skanska-Koch Civil on the Ben Franklin and Commodore Barry Bridge projects for the Delaware River Port Authority, and previously led safety as Health, Safety, and Environmental Director for AECOM-Tishman on the NJEDA Wind Port at the Salem Nuclear Power Plant — one of the largest civil infrastructure projects in New Jersey history.

Construction Safety Insights, LLC was founded to bring that same field-tested safety leadership to contractors, owners, and legal teams on a project or contract basis — including safety program development and management, auditing, training, and expert witness consulting on construction safety litigation.
